Meet Our Founder
Jenny Schroeder
Jenny's journey into psychotherapy was driven by her natural sense of empathy and her deep interest in mental health. With a Bachelor's in Psychology and a minor in Gerontology and Family & Child Studies, she pursued her Master's in Counselling Psychology and earned her certification in Ecotherapy, Art Therapy, and addiction and youth. Jenny’s dedication to the field is reflected in her continuing education towards her doctorate of clinical psychology.
Our Natural Sanctuary
Our farm is not just a place; it's a living testament to the rich history and beauty of Braemar Valley. This unique area, once submerged in water, now harbors a wealth of treasures, from ancient fossils to artifacts left behind by indigenous tribes of the past. As you walk through our farm, you are treading upon the footsteps of those who came before us, experiencing the serenity and wisdom of nature's embrace.

Greet our majestic horses, as they graze peacefully in the pastures.
Guided by Empathy, Empowered by Nature
Your Journey, Your Healing:
Nurturing your mind, body, and spirit, our client-centered approach embraces the interconnectedness of your well-being, promoting a balanced and wholesome healing process.

Hope Valley Psychotherapy is located on a 100-acre farm down a quiet road with farm fields flanking three sides of the property. Although there is never a 100% guarantee of privacy, the odds of clients coming across a stranger on the trails would be extremely unlikely. In fact, the property is so remote that clients have better odds of coming across a deer than a person.
-
Jenny would be more than happy to answer any questions or concerns. The best way to contact her is through email via jenny@hopevalleypsychotherapy.ca and she will respond within 48 business hours. If a phone chat or virtual chat is more comfortable, that can be arranged as well.

Just because a client loves nature, does not mean they enjoy animals - and that’s ok! Everyone has their own level of comfort with animals, and there is no judgment about that. If you would not like to interact with the resident dogs, please let Jenny know BEFORE your session and the dogs will be put away so that your visit to the farm can be comfortable for you.
